Opinion requested of following case,
70yrs old male non diabetic with Past history of head injury which settled down leaving behind sequalae ;tinitis and this pain of left limb . which is episodic, of sudden onset resulting on the exposure to cold air and water .causing hypertension, increased sweating ,pain is so severe that one has to inject pentozocaine and ketanov etc to help relief.
From last two year I have controlled this pain with carbazapine 200mg b.d(Mazetol)
alzolam 0.25 .mefenic acid and antihypertensives.But he keeps on getting ,pain increased on treatment with TENS.
Patient keeps on taking bath with hot water even in deadly heat and sleeps with fan off
Air conditioner and coolers are nightmare and horrors.
