Dear Dr. Sood
There is a good illustration of taping techniqs for Acromio clavicular sprain grade III in the journal of ortho and sports phy ther in 1998 i think it is a march issue.. in which the details are available. There hey mention that the upper fibres of trapezius should be avoided. the technique when properly chosen and applied can give marked relief in a single session. However this has to be followed by appropriate physio so that the patient is able to do on his own the funcyion that the tape is helping him do.
Taping is a very useful technique in many other joints as well

    Dear friends,
I had a patient with severe pain in shoulder and she was unable to sleep
due to pain , slight attempt for abduction and external rotation was very painful .I put
a tape elastoplast above spine of scapulae along the muscle till the insertion ,with arm held
passively above 90 degree abduction .and than allowed the limb to descend ,with muscle
now supported with tape .Pain relief was so remarkable .
I will love to listen from anyone regarding their experiences .

    With regards
