Wheaton College is an Evangelical Protestant school in Illinois, sometimes referred to as the Evangelical Harvard for it's fairly highly respected academic repurtation. I am not sure, but I think this CD-ROM mus be nothing more than a CD-ROM version of the Edinburgh Ante-Nicene and Nicene-Post-Nicene Fathers series, hence, only English translations and about 120-150 years old now. These translations are in public domain so they are being sold in print and electronic versions all over the place. I know that Wheaton College's graduate library program has long had the ANF and NPNF available online, so I imagine this CD-ROM is a variant of that. Of course, for $35.00 it is still very much worth having, since the cheapest price for the print version of this I know of is about $300.00 US (Eerdmans, Hendrickson Publishers, retailed at about $300.00 by Christian Book Distributers, Peabody, Mass., and perhaps elsewhere). Someone else asked about the $50.00 Aquinas CD-ROM. I "reviewed" this for this list about 6 months ago. It is published by www.harmonymediainc.com. It contains only the English text of the Summa Theologiae and of the Catena Aurea as well as Aquinas's Eucharistic poetry and the "old" RSV text (Catholic edition, with the deuterocanonicals in the middle rather than the end and the handful of preferred Catholic textual variants), out of print everywhere except from Ignatius Press in San Francisco since the PC inclusivized NRSV was published. The translation used for the Sth in this CD-ROM is the Blackfriars edition. It is divided into the traditional "treatises" and is searchable. Harmony Media also has a CD-ROM Butler's Lives of the Saints, but from an older edition preceding the Thurston-Attwater 4-volume revised edition of mid-20th century (again, I'm sure they used this older edition because it was in public domain). It lacks the bibliographies found in the Thurston-Attwater revision. Dennis Martin %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
