In view of the lengths people have to wait to access rehabilitative
treatment, last year EATA commissioned some research into the impact that
delays in treatment have on uptake and impact. Whilst the research was not
without its limitations, we found evidence that the longer people wait for
treatment the less likely they are to take up a place, and that if they do
take up a place the less effective the episode is likely to be. For those
who are interested, the report is published under 'news and activities' on
our web-site (www.eata.org.uk).
