Dear colleague,

With this email we would like to inform you on the conference

'Cultural Uniqueness and Regional Economy'.

The international conference 'Cultural Uniqueness and Regional Economy' (www.cure3.nl)
will be held on 22, 23 and 24 November 2000 in the Netherlands in the town of Leeuwarden.
The central conference theme is the concept of outstanding regions: exploring quality in a
competitive world. Topics are:
     . Labour market
     . Regional policy
     . Social development
     . Regional culture and identity
     . Learning regions.
The conference will combine a scientific character with a search for concrete policy
implications. The conference should bring together scientists from economy, geography,
sociology, rural development, culture etc. with policy makers and others who are involved in
regional development. At the conference we hope to connect the different fields of research
and policy, and, above all, hope to connect people who are dealing with these related issues.

We are convinced that you, as a professional on your field of study, will find the conference of
your interest, and invite you to participate in the conference.

We hope we will meet you at the coming CURE3-conference. Full information on the
conference can be obtained at the web site www.cure3.nl.

Yours sincerely,

on behalf of the organizing committee
Engbert Boneschansker
