I filled in the questionnaire, well part to it. To be frank, I found it offensive! I never heard so much negative medical model self-pity in my life. I think this is more representative of the researcher's own impairment and the related psychosocial responses. I am writing an article at the moment on the differing types of impairment, related to psychosocial experiences, rather than biology. I have identified 5 factors including what the impairment occurs, its stability, how long it takes to develop and so on. This questionnaire does demonstrate my theory as it is the expected response of someone with a progressive impairment., ie a major lack of confidence and self-esteem. The questionnaire wishes to support his own feelings and is not compatible with all impairments in terms of language and attitude. I would have preferred a more neutral stance.
