Dear John, When I have questions of this nature, I get surprising success in checking the catalogue of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. If one goes to the home page: http://www.bnf.fr and moves along to the main catalogue: http://catalogue.bnf.fr/ then clicks on the 'connexion au catalogue' button, chooses the 'recherche simple' link, types in 'alverny' in the 'auteur' field and selects 'tous' (=all materials) at the bottom of the page, one gets not only many publications of this great medievalist (and very helpful scholar), but also there is a main entry with her years: 1903-1991. There are even indications of obituaries that appeared in *Le Monde* and *Le Figaro* on 15 April 1991. Best wishes, George Ferzoco >From: John Mundy <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: [log in to unmask] >To: medieval-religion <[log in to unmask]> >CC: mediev-l <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Marie Therese d'Alverny >Date: Mon, 17 Apr 2000 14:12:32 -0400 (EDT) > >Dear List: Does anyone know the year of the death of Marie Therese >d'Alverny?
