ANNOUNCING: Heckman Scholarships for Researching Manuscripts on Microfilm Duedate: April 15 and October 15 each year Tenable at: The Hill Monastic Manuscript Library Saint John's University Collegeville, Minnesota 56321 USA The World’s Largest Collection of Manuscripts on Microfilm Stipend: Up to $1500 is awarded twice a year to selected scholars of any nationality to assist them in spending generally at least two weeks in Collegeville working with the HMML collections. Advanced graduate students and recent Ph.D.s are eligible. Campus housing and meal plans are available. Facility: The Hill Monastic Manuscript Library holds over 90,000 microfilmed copies of manuscripts from around the world, including works housed in archives and libraries in over 25 countries.* The Library also contains many secondary resources and catalogs to assist in manuscript study. Location: Collegeville, Minnesota is located 75 miles northwest of Minneapolis and 10 miles west of St. Cloud. Saint John's University is situated on the grounds of Saint John's Abbey, the world's largest Benedictine abbey. There are 2400 acres of prairie, woodlands and lakes surrounding the campus.
