Dear All,

Greetings from Al-Ain, the oasis city of the middle east.

Can any one help with this query please?

We are planning for a prevalence study of homocysteine and its correlates
among subjects attending out reach medical camps in rural areas. Is any one
aware of a protocol (Evidence based or based on expert opinion)on what to do
when we find some people with high homocysteine levels in this population.

Help with specific levels of homocysteine at which we should provide folic
acid, B6 and or B12 will be of great help. Though I have looked at the
literature I could not find any guidelines on the specific levels at which
people should be treated. Our main objective is to establish the
distribution of homocysteine among a group of unselected subjects.

Thanking you all in anticipation,

Cheers & warm regards,

Badri
