I recommend it in all seriousness.  It is a treasury of lore about
owls, and indeed nightingales - though not alas pussycats.

Having made a medieval point, I will share a very modern chagrin with
you.  By a severe reduction in food and strenuous employment of my
stoutness exercises, I lost a whole stone (US = 14 pounds)last week. 
Yesterday I called on a colleague, to be greeted by the exclamation,
"Bill - you've put on weight!"


The Doctor, obviously not so Supple as I thought. :(
