Dear List

I've been asked to comment on a note which infers that wayside crosses
associated with the names of individuals, for instance those of minor
medieval ecclesiastics, usually "commemorate" those persons, eg. a certain
Croix Dom
Nicolas Revel was erected not _by_ him, but as an act of remembrance _to_
him.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

Many thanks

Darryl Ogier
