To be honest, the review of the relevant issues in the twelfth century, especially the ones related to the school of Chartres would require such a thorough research that exceeds the scope of my dissertation project on the eleventh century. Nevertheless, I admit that twelfth-century texts add further prospectives to the study of the objection against the seven liberal arts in the Middle Ages.
