Apologies to all , got confused between isle of man and Wight, easily done?
NOT!. The revised first sentence should read Another place is the Dorset coast
area, around the Lulworth cove area, all the way along to the Isle of Wight.

Dear Jan,

Another place is the Dorset coast area, around the Lulworth cove area, all the
way along to the Isle of Man. The inversion here is larger scale and is best
studied by joint outcrop, seismic and map interpretation. Understanding of the
outcrop relationships maps can be used to demonstrate inversion of overlapping
fault segments, e.g. relay ramps on the isle of Man. Suggest for reference you
look at recent papers by John Underhill, I think it is Geol Soc 1999 or 1998 on
inversion structures. In addition their is a Geol Soc. special publication on
the Wessex basin area again edited by Underhill, this was published in 1999.
Another paper by Corfield in the Geol Soc London , 154, 1995 gives outcrop
localities where he and other studied inversion features. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ian
