> on Negotiating Careers for Women in Geography

>  This workshop explores different routes and possibilities for women
> pursuing
>  careers in geography. It offers support for women developing their
> careers
>  and a forum to discuss tensions and problems faced by women across the
>  discipline of Geography. The day includes supportive and informative
> panel
>  discussions and workshops on diverse experiences of careers in Geography,
>  creating career alternatives, moving on after a PhD, balancing competing
>  demands and overcoming obstacles, combining home, work and family life,
> and keeping going without burnout. It is aimed at all women in Geography,
> both human and physical geography, and at women in all stages and forms of
> 
> careers.
>  
>  Speakers and workshop leaders  include:

> 		Professor Linda McDowell, London School of Economics
>  		Professor Jacqui Burgess, University College London
>  		Dr Uma Kothari, Insitute of Development, University of

>  Cost: 		£15 for employed, £5 for postgraduates and unwaged.
