Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Bas Spierings and I am currently conducting a PhD project at the Department of Human Geography at the University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. This project deals with the economic value of Dutch city centres. Central to the analysis is retailing but consumer behavior and the shopping environment are taken into account as well. The research focuses on city centres as 'spaces of consumption'. The reason for this email is that I am wondering whether you could tell me if any interesting conferences and seminars on 'spaces of consumption' in general and on retailing in particular are taking place in the (near) future.
