History, Gender and Self-Perception Postgraduate Conference
Location: United Kingdom
Call for Papers Deadline: 2000-02-29

A post-graduate conference on the subject of History, Gender and
Self-Perception will be held at the University of Essex on Saturday, June
17, 2000.

Our keynote address will be given by Dr. Lyndal Roper (Royal Holloway).
Possible themes for the conference include:

* Gender
* Power and Conflict
* Language and Discourse
* Sexuality and the Body
* Family

Papers on any period or region are welcome.

Paper abstracts should be approximately 200 words and must be submitted by
February 29, 2000.
