whole John-Chrysostom-as-murderer problem.  Unfortunately,

I think it was "another" John Chrysostom, not the Church
father... And
this "other" J. C. commits adultery and subsequently
murders the young
lady. He repents of course - this "other' Chrysostom is
known as Bocca
d'Oro (his saliva turned into gold when he ran out of ink
while writing a
miracle of Our Lady).
