Happy New Year and welcome to the new
century,
This is directed to list members who are people with a
disability but please, all comments are welcome. Recently two gentlemen
who do not have a disability have repeatedly used the term "citizens with
inabilities" when referring to people with a disability and even more
recently have broadened the term to include people whose disability is acquired
as a result of the ageing process under an umbrella title. What are your
responses to this apparently newly coined terminology? Is this terminology
acceptable to people with a disability? I would be delighted to discuss
your responses with them.
