It's interesting to see how some people are really quite irritated about the whole taxonomic issue. Some may find taxonomy "sad" or boring but if you're a scientist dealing with biology then you have to put it with it. Besides, i doubt that anyone on this list is primarily a "taxonomist". I too find discussions on some subjects less than gripping, but clearly there are other people who don't - so i wouldn't dream of complaining about it. That's all.
