David Gillingwater ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY'S TRANSPORT STUDIES GROUP Lecturer in Transport Studies £17,238 to £30,065 per annum Loughborough University's well-established, internationally-recognised and research-led Transport Studies Group based in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering, is seeking to appoint an additional Lecturer in Transport Studies to strengthen and broaden its activities. Candidates for the post should be academically qualified in an appropriate discipline related to transport studies and be committed to research. A general expertise in transport operations, together with an interest in safety and risk management, would be especially welcome. However, this should not preclude applicants with expertise in other related areas, including transport economics. Some knowledge of the air transport industry would be an advantage. The development of new research themes will be particularly welcomed. Applicants must be able to demonstrate academic achievement with a record of research and publications. The person appointed will be expected to contribute to teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-professional levels, and demonstrate a continuing commitment to high quality teaching and learning.
