>24 Hour Museum 'Curriculum Navigator'
>
>mda is embarking on a new project for the 24 Hour Museum funded
>by the DFEE which will develop a 'National Curriculum Navigator' on
>the internet. The Navigator will enable teachers, students and other
>interested users to locate relevant materials held by museums,
>galleries and cultural organisations.
>
>We are currently looking for organisations to take part in the pilot
>phase of the project. mda has just received funding for the project
>and the pilot phase must be completed by the end of March 2000.
>We realise that this is a very tight deadline, but it is one that is
>dictated by the need for the DFEE to spend the money before the
>end of the financial year. We feel that this is a wonderful
>opportunity for cultural organisations to expand the availability and
>relevance of their education resources to a much wider audience.
>Evaluation will be built into the project for the benefit of subsequent
>phases. Wherever possible existing mainstream standards will be
>used to ensure interoperability. A grant of up to 500 per
>participating museum will be available to offset expenses.
>
>To take part in this initial phase or for further details please contact
