Call for papers - ISDA 2001 - Special Technical Session/ Workshop on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (http://www.gscit.monash.edu.au/conferences/isda2001/) In conjunction with The 2001 International Conference on Computational Science ICCS 2001 May 28 -- 30, 2001 Hilton San Francisco and Towers, San Francisco, USA **** INTELLIGENT COMPUTING SYSTEMS FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM **** Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDA 2001) is an international meeting that brings together international AI/ Soft Computing researchers, developers, practitioners, and users. The aim of ISDA 2001 is to serve as a forum to present current and future work as well as to exchange research ideas in this field. ISDA 2001 invites authors to submit their original and unpublished work that demonstrate current research in all areas of AI including design of artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, evolutionary algorithms, hybrid intelligent systems, and their applications in science, technology, business and commerce. Topics of interest include but not limited to: Artificial Neural Networks * Mathematical foundations of neural networks, architectures and algorithms. * Learning theory (supervised/unsupervised/reinforcement learning) * Knowledge based networks * Implementation issues of neural networks * Neural network training using evolutionary algorithms * Interaction between neural networks - fuzzy systems - evolutionary algorithms * Neural network applications * Special topics Fuzzy Systems * Fuzzy logic and possibility theory * Fuzzy expert systems * Fuzzy system design using evolutionary algorithms * Fuzzy system modeling and simulation * Fuzzy systems and applications * Special Topics Evolutionary Algorithms * Genetic algorithms * Evolution strategies * Genetic programming * Evolutionary programming * Simulated evolution * Hybrid evolutionary algorithms * Evolutionary algorithms and applications * Special topics Hybridizing Intelligent Systems * Neural network- fuzzy systems * Fuzzy systems- evolutionary algorithms * Neural network - evolutionary algorithms * Neural network- fuzzy systems- evolutionary algorithms * Hybrid Systems applications * Special topics All Other Intelligent Computing Systems Paper Submission We invite you to submit a: ** Full paper of 6 to 10 pages (Letter or A4 paper) for oral presentation ** Short paper of 2 to 4 pages (Letter or A4 paper) for poster presentation The submitted paper must be camera-ready and formatted according to the instructions of LNCS . Please follow the ICCS'01 guidelines for more information on submission. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. Please include a cover page which lists the following: * title of the paper * name, affiliation, address and e-mail address of each author * name of the presenting author * name of the corresponding author * a maximum of 5 keywords All full papers are to be submitted in PDF, postscript or MS word version electronically to [log in to unmask] Hard copies should be sent only if electronic submission is not possible. All papers will be peer reviewed by two independent referees and published in the proceedings of the conference by Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
