Joint One-Day Meeting of the Gas Kinetics and Astrophysical Chemistry Groups of the Royal Society of Chemistry, to be held on Thursday January 4 2001 (10:30-16:30) at the University of Birmingham, UK. The topics covered will include all aspects (experiment, theory, observation and modelling) of the study of elementary chemical processes of relevance to chemistry in space. The invited speakers are Dr Ralf Kaiser, Department of Chemistry, University of York (until recently, Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Taiwan) and Professor Tom Millar, Astrophysics Group Department of Physics, UMIST Contributed talks (15 + 5 minutes) are invited, and applications from young researchers (postdocs and PhD students) are especially welcome. The attendance/registration fee is very modest (20 pounds full, 10 pounds for students) and will cover all refreshments and a hot buffet lunch.
