Nuclear waste: the way forward

A Science & Public Affairs Forum
in association with the Institute of Physics

23 August, 6.30pm
Institute of Physics, 76 Portland Place, London W1N 3DH

Nuclear waste has been an issue ever since nuclear power became a reality,
but the long-term questions have yet to be resolved.

What is clear is that the way forward can only be determined by wide-ranging
discussion and consultation.

Last year a consensus conference considered the radioactive waste issue.
This forum will advance the debate and maintain the momentum for action.

Chairing will Clive Cookson of the Financial Times. Among the speakers will
be Lord Tombs, who chaired last yearıs House of Lords Science & Technology
Inquiry into radioactive waste, and Jonathan Selwyn, Director of the UK
Centre for Economic and Environmental Development, which organised last
yearıs consensus conference on radioactive waste.

Entrance is free but please confirm attendance.
