Sorry to all psci-com users.  I didn't realise that what we had to say
regarding the public understanding of animal experimentation was of
absolutely no interest to anyone else. Can you suggest a more appropriate
forum?  Will the Boyd Group be focusing on scientific facts or is it another
ethics group?

It may also suggest that they have a vested interest in animal
experimentation or that their careers are more important than questioning
the status quo?

Agreed. But if scientists themselves are doubting the efficacy of the
'animal model' in human medicine then it is probably at least worth
listening to them.

I would rather look for ways of building bridges than continue to look for
excuses not to.
