went to the 'genteel art or cut-throat business'
session at the writer's festival tonight. kept me enthralled for a good
hour.
who designs the session subjects? poetry as
genteel art OR cut-throat business? not exactly giving the speakers a lot of
room for movement; of course poetry's not a genteel art, and cut-throat
business? a bit drastic?
in the end i heard a lot about the electronic
poetry revolution...and a fair bit about the 'poetryetc' email discussion
list!
all very intriguing. looking forward to
attending the readings at 10 this morning with a drastic hangover.
