The new, post-coup govt in Fiji is dominated by the Taukei movement, which I think fits the classic definition of fascism: a mass of workers and/or peasants mobilised and led by disaffected sections of the ruling class and petit-bourgeoisie using racism and nationalism. PPl find it hard to take, becuase we associate fascism with white skin, but it's there for all to see. Quite frightening really.
