Hmmm. Nazi = National Socialist. Mussolini began as a socialist, and incorporated a lot of collectivist socialism into fascism. Mosley in England was the shining young man of promise in the Labour Party until he got impatient with Labour gradualism and started his fascist movement (and there's a good historical case, I gather, for believing that he only took up anti-Semitism opportunistically, at a late stage). In the thirties especially, there were quite a few people who flipped from communism to fascism or vice versa, ignoring any middle ground. I think the ideologies have quite a bit in common.
