A little while back John wrote - maybe we should go back to the closed list version - people having to provide ids etc to join. what's the view on this? No-one thought it germane to suggest that if he did'nt like the way the list was he could leave and set his own up. No-one said 'that's not about poetry'. What he seems to be saying now is that only he as the one listowner should/can go f/c to comment on the running of this list. How poets assemble, communicate and are mediated on this list is important in and off itself and it relates to poets and poemsetc in the outside world.
