A couple of poets I'd recommend for wider circulation have already been
mentioned--Michael Palmer, William Bronk. I'd add Hayden Carruth, for my
money one of the most important American poets of the last fifty years.
Another almost unknown poet of a stature equal to Carruth is Eleanor
Wilner, whose selected poems, Reversing the Spell, has just been
published by Copper Canyon. Copper Canyon is also Carruth's publisher,
come to think of it.
