Agreed. I think it's good to forget that you are a poet, writing a poem, within
a poetry scene and just live and write. Afterall your poetry wont disappoint you
as much as poetry politics will. (....& if it does, yr in trouble..:) I think
great work is done outside a 'scene' simply because a 'scene' takes up valueable
time and energy. Although perhaps it is good for a break or an amusement
inbetween books.:)  Whilst I will not be listening to silly things on 3RRR
(approx. 6,000 kms away from where I live, anyway) I must say I love Australian
poetry, most if not all of it..... and okay I have a soft spot for the poets who
write it as well ;-)
