I remember my first experience of W.S. Graham, reading 'Listen. Put on
morning' one day in a library, and nearly fainting it was so good. I haven't
read a lot of his work, but you know you really love an individual poem when
you remember the first time you read it, or the first time it hits you.
Similar to my first experience of 'Some Trees', Auden's 'Lullaby', Roethke's
'Child on Top of a Greenhouse', Crane's 'Voyages'.
