Okay, okay--I was just looking for the original geo(2)text guidelines for new people, but don't seem to have them anymore, so how about posting them, JK...? My idea is for a parallel "biotext" project, with contributions likewise posted in the same open form stipulated for geotexts (no linebreaks, capitalization, or punctuation--wasn't it, JK?). As with "geo," however, "bio" could be open to a variety of interpretations. (Peter Howard's wonderful geotext was based on a modem or some other kind of computer card, for example.) Obviously, our biotexts could--but need not--begin and end with our bodies, which could be those we occupy in the Real or the Imaginary, among other possible bio-worlds. Nor would our body- extending texts need be limited to/by our biosphere (thinking of "passing narratives" here). And, of course, a biotext could be inspired by or based on somebody else's body, one that we might/not wish to occupy in any/no way at all. Andrew Burke's Soreros project could be conflated with a biotext one to this extent, as could many of Erminia's posts on all sorts of topics (just kidding, bella!). So, that's it (apart from JK providing/confirming the guidelines): take it away, or off, as you, um, desire-- Candice At 05:42 PM 9/14/00 +0000, you wrote: >candice ward has a great idea for a new project. hey, people, let's pick up >on it! candice...? > >best, >jk %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
