To my knowledge, private letters are treated carefully, according to the
laws of libel, and are best not printed unexpurgated until everyone is
dead.  But I am fairly ignorant of such matters,

I stll think the idea that a poor review/response can make a poet stop
writing is a bit sad.  Or do we just write for the reviews?  I can't
think of anything more empty.  What if Blake had given up after the
Examiner called him an "unfortunate lunatic"?
