Mark You're right, I guess. In retrospect the middle class white bit was a mistake, particularly silly coming from someone who'd earlier been objecting to the label 'woman'. I guess I just wanted to convey my sense that there is no absolute in poetry, or how we measure 'good' poetry. Historical context is significant, different times require different measures.
