I think we had this conversation already, but Lenny (as we can call him now) is in all the major canadian anthologies, as a poet, many teach & critique Beautiful Losers still, he lacked criticism for anbout a decade & a half, then there was a big conference on his work in the mid 90s, with a special issue of Canadian Poetry containing the papers, & Stepheh Scobie has just edited a special issue of Essays on Canadian Writing on Cohen, with new essays on the novels, the poems, the songs, etc. It's interesting in that in mahy ways he is outside the mainstream of contemporary Canadian poetry yet almost everyone knows his work & many admire (at least aspects of ) it. I certainly do. I like the 'golden voice' too...
