Interesting summary, Ken. I have an article called "Design and the New Rhetoric" coming out in Philosophy and Rhetoric in the near future. What may be interesting for the folks on the phd-design board is how quickly the paper was accepted (and at a length significantly greater than their normal articles) by the editors of that well-established journal. The point, I think, is that what we are doing in design studies can and does attract attention from people in other fields. It should give us some hope and some confidence to keep moving ahead.
