Its original authors (Kormanski and Mozenter, 1984) claim it identifies the stage of group development a "team" is in when data are examined in aggregate form. I never found it to have such predictive value, but the authors established these minor trustworthiness measures: established face validity and equivalent reliability of 0.95 Kormanski, C.
