We are looking for someone to join a lively and hardworking group with a record for high quality and innovative research and teaching. A particular emphasis, and distinctive competence of the department, is the bridge between "hard" and "soft" OR/MS which characterises both research and teaching. As well as offering one of the leading MSc's in OR in the UK, at undergraduate level the department teaches Management Science as a principal subject for the BA in the Strathclyde Business School, the BSc in Technology and Business Studies and the BSc in Mathematics, Statistics and Management Science. Staff also contribute substantially to the Strathclyde MBA programmes. There is a thriving community of around 40 full and part-time PhD scholars. We welcome applications from anyone with OR/MS expertise who can demonstrate an ability and intent to contribute fully to the department's activities. The post is part-time (up to 70%) and the mode of working is negotiable (e.g 3.5 days per week or 7 weeks in 10). The appointment may be extendable to 100% for at least the first 3 years.
