UNIVERSITE DE LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND: PhD POSITION A PhD position in Femtosecond spectroscopy is available immediately in M. Chergui's group at the Institut de Physique de la Matière Condensée, Université de Lausanne, Switzerland. The candidate will be involved in a project concerning the study of the ultrafast electronic and structural dynamics of molecules in liquids and solids. However, she or he may also be involved in other projects of the group (see Web site). Our laser lab is equipped with a tunable nanosecond OPO laser and two femtosecond laser set-ups (one optimized for < 50 fs pulses). Applications from students with a degree in physics, chemical physics, or physical chemistry, with a strong motivation for fundamental physics are highly encouraged. The starting salary is SFr. 3324.-/month.The appointment is for one year, renewable every year up to 4 years.
