Keith I hope I may be able to point you in the right direction for good quality 6 inch County sheets Below is a message I put on the Mining Hist mailbase some time ago. "I don't know if this will be news to fellow researchers or not. Having tried on many occasions to get good quality old OS maps from, records offices, libraries etc and failed I turned to Rally Maps of West Wellow. Mike at Rally Maps is able to supply copies of County Series c1850 to c1940. These are high quality copies off originals onto a similar weight of paper to the originals. These maps work out at £20 plus postage per sheet and his turn round is very quick, in most cases just days. He can also supply other old OS sheets but I don't have, sorry can't find, his catalogue.
