The Beauchamp brothers, Frank and Louis, owned a number of collieries in
Bristol and Somerset from the 1890s to the 1940s. A book by Louis's daughter
suggests that they may also have owned pits in the Forest of Dean . She may
be mistaken, as she doesn't seem to know too much about their business
interests, but has anyone ever come across anything which might prove her
right (or which might suggest that they were involved in other coalfields
elsewhere in the UK)?
