In answer to Ian Grant's query. The list was moderated as a precaution and has reverted to the normal option today. The duplicate messages came in their hundreds but were fortunately caught by the software at Mailbase. If they had got through to the list they would have created havoc. At the moment I'm not sure what caused the problems but it has not reocurred and therefore I'll take a chance and withdraw moderation. When moderated, you can tell who sent the originasl message by looking at the brief header included with the moderated message.
