No commitment here either, but have you considered Camborne School of Mines
as a venue. As well as conference facilities, fieldtrips could be arranged to:

- Blue Hills Tin Streaming Works
- Kennal Vale Explosive Works
- SWW Hydro operations at Mary Tavy, Morwellham and Chagford 
- Imerys (ex ECCI) china clay water monitors

It's only a thought.
