Postgraduate Fellowship in the history of space technology

Employed at the Science Museum, London, the Fellow will undertake a
University of London doctorate on the history of the Skylark  Sounding
Rocket Programme jointly supervised by the Institute of
Contemporary British History at the Institute of Historical Research, and 
the Science Museum.

This post, funded by the European Space Agency, is an outstanding 
opportunity to work on the history of  technology in the British and wider 
European spheres during the Cold War. The Fellow will benefit from a 
distinguished advisory committee, the resources at the Science Museum, and 
the training offered at the IHR.

Annual remuneration will be  £10,000.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an interest in developing a
competence in the professional history of technology as well as policy and
political studies. A solid background in science or technology would be an
advantage, as would a Masters degree in the history of technology.
