INFORMATION EMPOWERMENT:
RESOURCE DISCOVERY & MANAGEMENT
Robinson College, Cambridge
12-14 July 2000

See http://www.ukolug.org.uk for further details

This is the 9th UKOLUG biennial Conference. The programme will address the
practical concerns and considerations facing information professionals in 2000.
It will explore the challenge of acquiring and managing resources in an
increasingly complex global Internet market. It will be of interest to anyone
who wishes to keep up to date with the latest themes and developments
surrounding resource discovery and management.

All professionals involved in the delivery of information services across all
sectors, including librarians, information scientists, library and information
science students and information specialists in business, law, commerce,
science, academia, research and the public sector will benefit from the broad
mix of speakers and breakout papers. There will also be plenty of opportunity
for questions and discussion.

Delegates will also have the chance to relax and enjoy Cambridge in a number of
special social events at which they can meet with other information
