service**
============================================================
Dear List Members,

BIOME, a free new internet search service provided by the
education and heritage community is now available at
http://biome.ac.uk/

BIOME is designed to help you find high quality internet
sites in the life sciences subject field fast and
efficiently - without the need for endless hours of
searching. It even highlights the key features of each
resource, to help you pin point the best source of
information.

BIOME is a service of the Resource Discovery Network
http://www.rdn.ac.uk/ an exciting new development funded by
the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), with
support from the ESRC and AHRB.

The public launch of the service is taking place at The
Royal Society in London on 2nd November from 11am till 3pm.

Morning speakers include Michael Wills, Minister for Learning and
Technology and Professor Steve Jones, renowned geneticist and author.
After lunch, parallel workshop sessions will be held to
demonstrate the key features in your subject area followed
by a wine reception.

We have a limited number of places still available. If you
would like to register for one of launch places still
available,or find out more about the BIOME Service please
