The Librarian of the Cambridge University Faculty of Oriental Studies,
Catherine Ansorge, has written an article on the history the Faculty's Library,
which has just been published in _Cambridge University Libraries Information
Bulletin_, 47 (2000). The text is also accessible online at
http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/CULIB

The article describes the various locations of the library (formerly known
as the Institute of Oriental Studies Libary) since its foundation ca. 1906,
and the development of its holdings, which include the collections of a number
of distinguished Orientalists and travellers, such as A.A. Bevan, E.G. Browne,
Lady Anne Blunt and William Leake, as well as those of the Middle East Centre
established by A.J. Arberry.
