The third edition of INDEX ISLAMICUS ON CD-ROM was published last month. It
covers the whole period from 1906 to 1998 inclusive and contains over 240,000
bibliographical records on all aspects of Islam and the Muslim world, past and
present.

A new feature is the inclusion of over 13,500 records of reviews, mainly of
books but also some films, audio recordings, etc. These are from periodicals
published since 1992, and form a continuation of the old _Islamic Book Review
Index_, which ceased in that year.

INDEX ISLAMICUS is published by Bowker (formerly Bowker Saur), and full details
of prices and ordering addresses, etc. are given on their website at

		www.bowker-saur.co.uk

As before, owners of previous editions of the CD get a very substantial
discount (about 63%) on the price of the new one.
