UNIVERSITY OF LONDON LIBRARY Research Assistant (ALC1) An opportunity to use your research skills in a major academic library. Working with the University Archivist, the successful applicant will conduct research in archives and other relevant collections of the schools and institutes of the University of London in order to identify items that might be suitable for inclusion in a major University of London exhibition. Your duties will include assisting with defining particular areas to research, which will involve carrying out site visits to relevant archives and collections within the University of London, and compiling lists of items (including photographic) for inclusion. You should have a familiarity with using archive catalogues and lists, previous experience of conducting research using primary resources and finding aids and have the ability to become quickly familiar with a given subject area. This post may suit a recently qualified archivist or doctoral student who wish to practically apply their research skills. You will be paid £10.00 per hour, based on an annual salary of £18,420[incl.
